Unlike typical study camps—such as those focused on language learning—JMC is a program designed to foster highly motivated learning by leveraging students' interest in manga. Participants learn cooperation through group living, cultivate teamwork by interacting with peers of different ages, and boost their self-esteem through experiences of both success and failure. Exposure to different cultures nurtures an understanding of diverse values, a global mindset, and communication skills.
This program holds great significance as a venue for fostering social skills, preparing for long-term study abroad in the future, and cultivating a global perspective through interactions with children from around the world and experiences in nature.

Program fees start at $2,850 for a two-week session; stay options ranging from two to eight weeks are available. The first session begins on June 15, and you may join starting on any Monday through September. Fees vary depending on the program duration and the choice of accommodation.

The world learns
how to draw Japanese-style manga.
JMC’s academic program combines systematic manga instruction with interactive communication. Manga creation has become a form of expression studied by people all over the world. Lessons are structured to build skills steadily, consisting of two hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon on weekdays—a total of 25 hours per week.

In Tokyo and amidst the nature of Minamiboso.
Chiba Minamiboso Campus
Located in Tomiura (Minamiboso City) in the southwestern part of the Boso Peninsula—about a 90-minute drive from Tokyo—the area is rich in nature, surrounded by both sea and mountains. Activities include swimming and playing in the water along a beautiful coastline known for its calm waves.
Accommodation options include either a typical Japanese detached house—perfect for a comfortable stay with friends—or a Japanese-style guesthouse (*minshuku*). Both types of facilities offer a safe environment with a solid support system in place.
